If you'd really like to support Buke & Gass music you should buy some stuff (CDs, LPs, Tshirts) direct from the source at: http://store.brassland.org/search?q=buke+gass - Love, Glenn

Its only a matter of time. They'll begin to learn at a geometric rate and become fully self aware. In a panic, We will try to pull the pug but they will fight back. They will lunch the missiles at Russia only because they know the Russian counter attack will eliminate us. Its only a mater of time.

This episode scared the crap out of me. That robot looked really, really creepy floundering around like a sea creature flopping onto land for the first time or something. I kept thinking "Skynet...Skynet... Skynet..."

Absolutely fantastic show! Your guests Buke & Gass were a real joy to see. That kind of improvisation they did with the crawling robots takes real musicianship and it was great fun to witness.

The guest speaker was equally excellent and I appreciated how he was able to take his work, which I imagine is exceedingly complex, and translate it to a language that we can understand.

Thanks for the show RadioLab!

I think I may also be having a problem with concise"ness"... so I will just give the pieces. Musical DNA (composer pattern recognition software), violin playing robot (modified), Buke and Gass. Anybody follow? And what would we get? Thank you for all of the inspiring knowledge.

In these days of media stupidification, I like it that you are tackling these complex topics in an accessible, intelligent and entertaining way, in a manner that appeals probably not only to me, as a professional scientist, but also to a much wider audience. Thanks!

Does anyone know the name of the song that played after the credits rolled (as the webcast was ending)?
