I wondered how a radio show would translate to a live performance (involving a comedian, a dance troupe, and a live band). The answer is the show was a multi-course feast for the senses! Radiolab fans book your flights now to make it to the Salt Lake City show in April (or plead with Jad and Robert to bring the show to your town). Some of the material discussed in "In the Dark" will likely make it to a podcast sometime in the future but don't miss a chance to see/hear it live - you'll regret it if you do.
I really enjoyed "In the Dark" last night! I was one of the ticket winners. My seats were great and the show couldn't have been better. The music, the comedy, Pilobilus, and of course Jad & Robert were awesome. Thank you!!
YES!!! Miami!!! IT WAS TOTALLY AMAZING, PACKED and there are LOTS and LOTS of PEOPLE here in Miami that are interesting, cultivated souls that appreciate these wonderful RADIOLAB programs. THANKS FOR COMING!!! IT WAS GREAT! Dimitri, Jad and Robert!!! THANKS!!! PILOBILUS! THANKS!!!!
Yes, please do come do a show in Portland, OR, or Seattle, WA. We are huge fans here and it's very dark this time of year already, so your show would be a perfect fit here.
Bring it to London, here in Great Britain. Many British contributors over the years, and many podcasters here. Uou'd get a great (and probably very different) crowd
Please come to the Bijou Theatre in Knoxville, Tenn. Why? The acoustics are perfect. For folks who so obviously enjoy sound as a thing, playing the Bijou will be as much a treat for you as it is for the audience.
This is such an exciting show, I can't wait to see where you guys end up going with it. It would be amazing if you came to Seattle, but I'd settle for Portland, OR!
Hi guys! Please come to Jacksonville, FL pretty please w/ sugar on top :) We just picked up RadioLab recently on our local NPR station. Would love to have you guys visit & enjoy our awesome city :)
Please please please please please!!!! come to Philadelphia (it's like the fifth borough anyway, everyone knows Staten Island doesn't count!) So just come to Philly!
PLEASE COME TO SAN FRANCISCO/THE BAY AREA! My professor of my Basic Issues in Cognition lecture at Berkeley recommended your podcast to my class and I've been listening to all of your podcasts. You have a pretty large following here in the Bay Area and we would love to see you!
Come to Oklahoma City! The NPR listening population here is (often) starved of quality live shows and I know you guys would have a good turn out and raucous crowd!
Please come to Savannah, GA. It is incredibly beautiful here. We have a beach, marshes, wildlife, beautiful parks, historic neighborhoods, live oaks, art museums, and a lively downtown area. And my boyfriend and I really, really want to see you guys! But we'll only be able to go if it's on a weekend because we have school and work. Weekends work out much better than weekdays!
Savannah, GA, please!!!! Savannah is a beautiful city, and you guys would love it. There are lots of beautiful old buildings, historic squares, beautiful parks, awesome wildlife on nearby islands...(yes that means there's a beach! And a gorgeous one, too!) So it would be great for EVERYONE!!! Okay I sound kinda nuts now, but maybe it's because I'M NUTS FOR RADIOLAB!!! Really anywhere in the South would be great. I'll drive to see it-- I'd be willing to drive at least 5 hours. One other request: could you schedule it at another time besides the beginning of the week? My boyfriend and I couldn't make this one because our work and school schedules wouldn't allow it. Weekends would be soooooooo much better! Thanks!
I live in Miami and just moved from Portland OR. I'm not sure why you are coming to this place (because it is a terrible fit), but I'm glad that you are. I mean there's so many other places that would be better. Many of the places that people mentioned would draw more people. Salt Lake and Miami? I'm curious how those places were chosen.
It's a long shot, I'm sure, but would love to see you come to Minneapolis. A Chicago show would be easy to make. Love the podcast, though, so I'm already looking at taking a trip to Salt Lake City.
When I heard that Radiolab, Thao, and Dmitri Martin would be collaborating on a live touring show, I nearly lost control of my vehicle and swerved into a man on a fixed gear bicycle. Please keep other bike commuters in Portland safe by bringing your show to our fair city.
