Robert Krulwich has been called “the most inventive network reporter in television” by TV Guide.

He could have saved about 42 pies and a little time if only he had forgotten all about Pi and went straight to figure out Tau instead (viz. http://tauday.com/). Besides, the "cool factor" of that would be higher. :-)
