Free Download: Bug Music
The chirps and buzzes of insects may not sound like music to your ears, but they do to David Rothenberg. His latest album explores the musical connections between humans and bugs, noise and melody, and nature and electronics.
Katydid Prehistory
The second track on David Rothenberg's CD Bug Music pays homage to an ancient insect's musical abilities. Here's the description from the liner notes:
Named in honor of Archaboilus musicus, the 165 million year old prehistoric kaytdid, whose fossil remains reveal an ability to sing distinct pitches.
Enjoy!
