Your opinion, please!

Friday, December 04, 2009 - 07:15 PM

When some artists came together to support Radiolab by creating a limited edition of prints, we were blown away by the creativity of their images. Have a look at the images here and pick your favorite. We'll put the fan favorite on a tote bag (or maybe a t-shirt).

I vote t-shirt as well, which is how I picked the design. If it is the tote bag, the Firefly design is more appealing.

Jan. 21 2010 10:00 AM

Cow and goat + t-shirt.

P.S. Please and THANK YOU.

Jan. 19 2010 02:39 PM

The Microscope!

And a T-SHIRT!

love from Australia.

Jan. 14 2010 03:55 AM

If you're going the t-shirt direction, we females demand women's sizes and cut -- no shapeless beefy Ts!

Jan. 12 2010 05:15 PM

Ok, the micrscope is cool but the Goat on Cow is hands down the coolest design for a tshirt (which is what I hope you go with, rather than the tote bag)! Goat on Cow is an inside joke and us Radio Lab geeks will be so happy to spot eachother with it. Plus the design is simple and well executed. I would like to order a women's medium please (female fit please)!

Jan. 04 2010 04:29 AM

The microscope on a t-shirt for sure.
It has high symbolic values and will be a great conversation starter, but keep it small, upper left, like it was a club or organizational T. Then it's wearable in more situations and will lead to spreading the RL word more. I'll take 2!

Jan. 03 2010 05:51 PM

i love radio lab because it shares so much amazing trivial facts like how a squirrel has a twenty-five year life span, and how goats like to climb things.

it makes the perfect conversation starter.. goat on a cow.

Jan. 03 2010 02:09 AM

"Detective Stories" was the very first Radiolab that I heard.. so I had to go with the Goat on the Cow.

Jan. 02 2010 05:44 PM

T-Shirt is a much much better option!

Dec. 31 2009 02:44 PM

No brainer. T-shirts. Goat & Cow on front. Microscope & 'Radiolab' on back.

Dec. 29 2009 02:28 PM

The microscope is perfect.

Goat on the cow made me smile, though.

Dec. 24 2009 07:16 PM

Goat on cow for sure. Microscope is an awesome overall logo, but for a tote bag the goat/cow is wonderful and unsubtle conversation starter - perfect for ensnaring new listeners.

Dec. 24 2009 12:14 AM
Jacqueline Young

Torn between the goat on top of the cow and the radioscope...
So, I vote for both ;)
And ditto on the women's cut t-shirt!
I say a giant image on my chest is the only way to display my profound and undying love for RadioLab.

Dec. 23 2009 04:49 PM
Rodrigo Teixeira

It would be more fair if the options shared the first spot on the page.

Dec. 23 2009 11:15 AM

I would buy a T-shirt the instant they are available. Also, vote goes to microscope.

Dec. 23 2009 12:03 AM
Steven Nelson

OK, a compromise-- Microscope on the shirt pocket and a big Goat & Cow on the back!

Dec. 21 2009 01:28 AM

How come the instellar cryptology design has the probe originating from Mars? An inside joke, I presume?

Dec. 20 2009 11:39 PM

Another woman listener here, please remember us if you're doing t-shirts.

BUT! Bring back the prints! I can't believe they are sold out.

(And I voted for the Atomic Radio - Frank Chimero is a neat artist.)

Dec. 19 2009 02:54 PM

None of the above. All I want is the simple Radiolab logo, the orange ball with the "r" in it. These others are too busy. If I HAD to pick one, I'd say the "Golden Record CD" one. But again, just the logo would be best!

Dec. 18 2009 07:11 PM

I voted for the atomic radio one, but I love the goat and cow too. Really a toss up for me. For some reason the view results link isn't working for me though?

Dec. 17 2009 03:12 PM

For the sake of transparency: my vote goes to Goat on a Cow, with radioscope a close second!

Dec. 17 2009 02:06 PM

Dec. 17 2009 03:39 AM

Dec. 15 2009 11:48 PM

I love them all! Here is what I think you should do...sell them as T-shirts and offer every design (in limited editions) so people can choose their favorite. And definitely offer a smaller cut for women.

Dec. 15 2009 06:43 PM

please make a gold record t shirt for me

Dec. 15 2009 02:37 AM

Regarding M's comment...

I disagree. These designs are all wonderful! I had a hard time picking one. However, I do agree that the T-shirts (if they're made) should be on a gray (of the dark variety) base color or something else that fits... Not white.

Dec. 14 2009 11:06 PM

Here here on the t-shirts, I would buy one today! And I'm glad to see that radio-labers have such good taste (reference the micradio)

Dec. 14 2009 01:19 PM

Come on those designs don't measure up ANYWHERE near the quality of RadioLab. Somebody's gotta come up with something LEAGUES better. I mean LEAGUES!! Apologies to the designers!
And yes I would definitely buy and sport a RadioLab T. Not in white, though.

Dec. 14 2009 12:22 PM

goat on the cow t-shirt!!!!!!

Dec. 14 2009 12:32 AM
Sergio J.

I tried to vote for alien crypto but the vote button does not work, Tried with both Internet Explorer and Google Chrome...

Also I vote for a T-Shirt, much better than the other options.

Thanks, and great program , I love it!

Dec. 13 2009 07:14 PM

I'm adding my informal vote to the T-shirt option....and as long as I'm asking, please please please offer a version specifically for girls (feminine tee or tank). Thank you!!

Dec. 13 2009 02:34 PM

I love the fireflies. So pretty! Looks like I'm in the minority, though. Ah, well-- I'll get the tote bag no matter what design is chosen.

Dec. 13 2009 01:52 AM

After listening to the Detective Stories episode I voted for the Goat/Cow. What a great story.

Dec. 13 2009 12:12 AM

Christmas is coming up fast. Please put this on a t-shirt or something before the holidays! My sister loves Radiolab and this would be a great gift. :)

Dec. 12 2009 01:57 PM

I've been listening to too much NPR, I thought the cow/goat story was from This American Life. Love the image, and can't wait to ad another tote or tee to my collection.

Dec. 11 2009 03:52 PM

bah its not even close anymore =/ goat on cow got owned

Dec. 11 2009 11:42 AM

Goat on Cow on a T-Shirt PLEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAASE!!! Ill order as many as you want.

Dec. 11 2009 08:56 AM
Garrett B

Goat on Cow! Put it on a tee shirt too.

Also, according to the multiverse theory, in another universe the cow is standing on the goat.

Dec. 11 2009 12:02 AM

There needs to be a chicken on the goat on the cow. I would've voted for it then. Instead I voted for the microscope. It portrays a lot of information about the show very simply. It's elegant.

Dec. 10 2009 07:19 PM

Man, that was a hard one! I picked the microscope even though I really felt like being unique and going with something else. I knew the microscope would be the most popular, it instantly conveyed radiolab to me. I vote for the non-tote. Looks like radiolab needs to have a an online store Ellen...;)

Dec. 10 2009 02:25 PM

Goat & Cow was the first episode I heard too! I didn't realize that was Radiolab, maybe that's why it stuck with me so much! But I have got to vote Microscope, because that captures EVERY radio show that has been cast at Radiolab. Intense scrutiny of the most interesting, mundane and fantastic things!

Dec. 09 2009 06:07 PM

Love the microscope with the radio antena - it's exactly what you do...take a topic, put it under the "microscope" and brodcast!

Dec. 09 2009 05:37 PM

Mini buttons!

Dec. 09 2009 03:10 PM

Upon doing some thinking, I like the cow and goat one on a shirt and using the microscope as the show's logo on mugs, cups, etc. as part of the Radiolab brand. I am reminded of the RSS feed box logo. Imagine the podcast logo is the Radiolab microphone.

Dec. 09 2009 04:17 AM

by the way, love the show guys, can't wait for the next episode.

Dec. 09 2009 02:46 AM

i want the microscope and the goat on the cow. i voted for the goat/cow pick but both would be nice. i'm thinking 'RADIOLAB' spelled across the chest with the microscope as the 'I' and then the goat and cow image on the back. that would just make my day.

Dec. 09 2009 02:40 AM

Yah... I have to agree with most everyone.

I want the microscope because it captures everything of what the show represents... but... well, I want the goat on a cow t-shirt as an inside joke... Can I have both? By both, I mean both T-shirts...

I want to tell everyone what I like at this given moment by having it emblazoned on my chest in cotton... or a polyester blend...

Dec. 09 2009 02:10 AM

Fabulous to see this project and some lovely indie artists! Cannot wait!

Tshirts and tote bags are going to make fabulous gifts for all the people I've converted to the World of RadioLab!

Dec. 08 2009 10:31 PM

long-sleeve t's!!!!

Dec. 08 2009 07:55 PM
Matthew C. Scallon

I was hoping that you'd have a picture of someone killing their baby in order to save the world. Isn't that what this show is all about?

Dec. 08 2009 07:02 PM

Is it just me, or does the microscope signal resemble XM Satellite Radio's logo? bc of this resemblance, I am forced to go with goat on cow.

Dec. 08 2009 03:48 PM

T-shirts people!!! We all already have our eco-friendly NPRish totes. (Also, perhaps use a t-shirt source that is OK with your viewership - i.e. sweatshop free)

Dec. 08 2009 03:16 PM

The microscope will reproduce across the widest range of options. This icon also has a relationship to the show name and existing brand ID. T-shirt would be amazing.

Dec. 08 2009 02:03 PM

The goat standing on the cow was the first radio lab episode I heard on the radio. Since then I've been hooked. I love the way you tell stories in a way that consistently blows my mind.

Dec. 08 2009 01:28 PM

Dec. 08 2009 02:13 AM

o definitely Atomic Multiverse Radio! an image not tied to a specific episode and WAY WAY cool!

Dec. 07 2009 09:23 PM

My $0.02: I voted for the goat and cow-what a better way to inspire curiosity about Radio Lab. A t-shirt would be great. I don't know what I could do with another tote (although it would be my favorite one)

Dec. 07 2009 08:23 PM

It was a toss up for sure - the microscope won. One more tally for a female style shirt please! A devoted listener from sunny southern california.

Dec. 07 2009 06:55 PM

Oh, this is so difficult! Microscope is simplest, most straightforward, the Fireflies one is just beautiful and I'd love to have it, but goat on cow! I loved that episode, I loved how the whole thing was all because of a goat standing on a was so poignantly random, or something.

Make them all available! (And another vote for tees, including women's cut tees).

Dec. 07 2009 06:31 PM

T-shirt. Preferably with "Goat on Cow" (my vote). But I'll buy any RadioLab T, honest.

Dec. 07 2009 05:53 PM
Connor Walsh

Actually, like some others pointed out, non-white T-shirts would be good – how about inverting the colour of the microscope for a black t-shirt?

Dec. 07 2009 01:06 PM
Laurie WIlliamson

Love to Radiolab! Fantastic prints! Pleeeease do T-shirts and yes, please consider the girls/ladies version for sizing -- I would definitely buy one, and in fact have gone to your site looking for Radiolab T-shirts in the past.

Dec. 07 2009 11:08 AM

If you use Cafe Press you can get almost anything with the design on it, Radio Lab will make less money per item, but the variety of options might allow quantity to make up for it.

Dec. 07 2009 03:40 AM
Heather Prosser

AWWWWWWW they are all really neat, but I adore the firefly design!!!!

PLEASE please please tell me, either way, that you'll ship overseas? I promise to purchase lots and lots of Merch if you would consider getting it to us in Australia.

Pretty please?

I LOVE you guys. The show is just the absolute best!

Dec. 07 2009 01:40 AM

They are all so wonderful and if all of these designs were available on t-shirts I'd probably buy at least two or three different ones.

But if that doesn't happen, how can I get Jez Burrows to make me a Goat on the Cow t-shirt???

Dec. 07 2009 01:31 AM
Neil! Collier

Please!!!!! A fireflies Tshirt!!!! If you don't make them, I'd like to talk to the artist! You guys are wonderful.

Dec. 07 2009 12:48 AM

I really like the microscope design. The radio waves coming out from the microscope remind me too much of XM satellite radio, however. I can also see the gray/orange RADIOLAB logo from the front page on a bumper sticker.

Dec. 06 2009 11:50 PM

I voted for the Goat and the Cow - I would ADORE the design with "Radiolab" on the back on a t-shirt.

Dec. 06 2009 10:52 PM

The Multiverse is fantastic. Will all y'all come to Chicago please?

Dec. 06 2009 08:15 PM

I like the limited edition idea. They're all so cool!

Dec. 06 2009 08:02 PM

Just another overseas listener chiming in with hopes that whether it be a T-shirt or tote bag, that it can be shipped outside of the US :-)

Dec. 06 2009 07:00 PM

Definitely a T-shirt, please.

Dec. 06 2009 03:22 PM

I wish I could do a first and second choice because I love the Microscope, but I think the Multiverse is also very good. The others represent a single show well, but not the program as a whole. --I agree with the T-Shirt idea.-- You could also do some Radiolab Parties outside New York, (like maybe Dallas)

Dec. 06 2009 01:08 PM

Suzie, the goat on a cow is from the Detective Stories episode (July 2007).
Like many people, I was torn between that and the microscope. I think it just depends if you want something more straightforward or more of an inside joke...I do like the idea of using two designs!

Dec. 06 2009 10:40 AM

I would totally buy the goat on top of a cow if it was on a shirt!

Dec. 06 2009 06:29 AM

t-shirt, t-shirt, t-shirt!

(pretty please?)

Dec. 06 2009 02:06 AM

My rational brain wanted Microscope but my emotional brain won out with the Goat on Cow image.

Here's a thought, why not do limited edition t-shirts in a few different styles then you wouldn't have to choose!

Dec. 06 2009 01:11 AM

ah i figured the microscope would win.. but a goat on a cow would inspire questions anywhere

Dec. 05 2009 06:11 PM

I too would get a shirt, and second the call for women's styles. It would also be awesome to have a color other than white.

Dec. 05 2009 03:35 PM

Although I voted for Instellar Cryptology, both that one and Microscope on a tee shirt would be worn on a regular basis (read: all the freaking time!).

Love you guys!

Dec. 05 2009 02:00 PM

Although I voted for Instellar Cryptology, both tht one and Microscope on a tee shirt would be worn on a regular basis (read: all the freaking time!).

Love you guys!

Dec. 05 2009 01:56 PM

Hi, I voted the microscope. Is it possible to buy the tote bag from the UK? Thank you!

Noel, good idea! Two designs would be very nice.

Dec. 05 2009 01:11 PM

Is it possible to have the winning on both a shirt and a tote bag? If only one option is available, I'd prefer the shirt.
Also, maybe you could put the first and second place winners on the front and back of a shirt or opposite sides of a tote bag?
Love the show, by the way.

Dec. 05 2009 01:08 PM

I initially went with multiverse because I thought it would look great on a tote or T. It's retro which is what attracted me to it. However, I've changed my mind and I like the microscope better because it makes is a clean, simple & modern statement.

Dec. 05 2009 12:59 PM
Frank Patrick

Come on people. It's RADIOlab. It's gotta be the multiverse (in more ways than one) radio design.

Dec. 05 2009 08:20 AM

I originally was going to vote microscope, simple, identifiable, elegant. But the "alien cryptography" one is so damn cool!

Dec. 05 2009 07:04 AM
Connor Walsh

I went for the microscope – for me the making-simple and elegance capture what Radiolab does :-)

Dec. 05 2009 05:23 AM

tote bag! I can never get enough tote bags :D

Dec. 05 2009 01:22 AM
Chris C

Ah, that microscope really screams out "Radio Lab" :)

Dec. 05 2009 12:48 AM

If you do decide to do shirts, please please make a tank top or girl-cut t-shirt option!

Dec. 05 2009 12:47 AM

No more tote bags. I can only carry so much.

Dec. 05 2009 12:15 AM

yes, t-shirts PLEASE!! w/ that microscope icon would be PERFECT and i'd be at least two of 'em!

Dec. 04 2009 11:57 PM

Which episode is the goat on the cow from? I want to be the RadioLab fanatic who has every episode but obviously am not: are they available in collected format? I vote for a tshirt as well!

Dec. 04 2009 11:07 PM

I voted for "Goat on the Cow" and is it possible to buy it from China? BIG BIG FAN HERE~~~

Dec. 04 2009 10:17 PM

T-shirts!! Please!!

Dec. 04 2009 09:05 PM

i'd vote for a t-shirt option too

Dec. 04 2009 08:56 PM

I voted for The Goat on the Cow design, but I was so torn between it and The Microscope Icon.

And please - think t-shirt! I'd much rather have one of those than another tote bag.
