Why, oh why do they only have size small Radiolab t-shirts left? Was going to be a great gift, but need a large. Sigh!

My husband and I LOVE to listen to your shows on long road trips as well as a daily routine. I just bought him the goat on cow t-shirt. I just nailed his Christmas gift. You made my day. Thank you. :)

Because of Radio Lab's broadcast of "Limits", I was inspired to test my own limits and run my first marathon Jan 9th of this year! It was a success, I accomplished something that I never thought was possible. Now, I am an avid runner looking for new ways to 'test my limits' ! :)

Thank you Radio Lab for changing my life :)

I heard today a brilliant show from 2007 (Detective Stories) and finally learned why a goat on the top of a cow logo design :)) This is my favorite show ever - it's literally changing my life - it gives me a different perspective to life, it makes me drive slower (I can focus entirely on the show (and driving) when in the car), and it makes me extremely happy to find smart, interesting and different shows without commercial interruptions.
Wonderful show guys! Keep up a good work!
And now I'm going to buy t-shirts :)

My love to Radiolab is literally boundless!!! I work in a museum and spend a lot of my time alone in the collection currating the preserved remains of mammals, and Radiolab is my constant and favorite companion. Thanks for keeping me sane, you guys :)

I think that this show is great for all ages! It is very informative and easy to follow, also I have noticed that stories from it come up at the dinner table. This is my favorite radio show ever and I have literally listened to the podcasts for a whole day. My favorite one is the one about whale rescue. It was very moving and it got me hooked.

I love Radiolab! I have been listening for years now, and just figured out how to integrate your show into my middle school science classes. On Friday, we listen to a snippet of a show and discuss its overall meaning. We just started with the story of the bristlecone pine getting cut down. The kids reactions were amazing, and they really enjoyed it! Thank you for everything you do...keep going!

I vote for goat on a cow on a beer glass too!

Would also love goose poop in toxic lake. That story made me cry with hope

I totally remember the cow and goat from a This American Life episode as well; did it play on both? Also, every time I'm on that stretch of the 101, I try to figure out where the whole thing was found. Ha!

...ok, never mind. i looked up the story. i'd heard it way back, but remembered it as from this am life (sorry). but, my reaction was the same as before. which was, 'ok, yeah, the story of 'ella' is poignant alright, but the real story, the real unsolved mystery, is the goat on the cow. i mean, what the hell? and despite the narrator laura's assurance that goats constantly climb on cows, i have seen lots of goats and i've never seen them on anything, much less a cow! the guy got distracted by these letters and he lost track of this goat and cow. what were they, a vaudeville act? it's insane! personally i don't think it happened. i don't think he saw a goat on a cow. he's either hallucinated it, or he's lying. but why? that's the real mystery! why did he make up this impossible story about a goat on a cow? there's something weird going on there...

Sep. 16 2010 02:59 AM

could you explain the goat on the cow, please?

Oh, cool. Love the new site!

I had to tell you: you guys rock.

Your work is awesome: so fund, good taste and educative.

Robert, your kind of humor is so familiar to me I can't believe it.

Jad don't be jealous, yours too. It's only that Robert is a bit more...

You both rock.

Thank you producers for letting them do their stuff.

Radiolab forever!

You know, I've grown to just love the new website. Like all things, I initially blanched at the change, but it is super intuitive.

My vote for new merch is a Radiolab beer glass. I'd buy the heck outta that.

Omg, radiolab is my favourite thing in the world. Ive been listening to it for a year now, since i was 14 and it's just the greatest thing. So much better than all the other crap my friends listen to because you actually learn things. Please never stop making them!

Outstanding show, I picked it up with "Oops" and I'm now combing the back episodes. Love the content and the format, thanks for making us think; shows like this are the antidote to intelligence-sucking pop culture--keep it up!

Please, please publish the names of the books you mentioned on "Words"!!! I'm a psychologist, and want to learn more about this fascinating subject. I'm older than Robert, and have neither an ipod nor a printer.

I love your show! I listen to the podcasts on my early morning walks, and more than once I have paused to stare at the rising sun as you make me ponder wonderful and amazing ideas. I gave money and got the cool totebag, which I carry around L.A. waiting for people to notice. But I missed the shirt! I must get it and wear it everywhere. Suggestion: Auction off a RL tour and dinner with Jad and Robert. I'd pay for that, and come to NYC.

I *love* the show! I'm always looking forward to new episodes and I devoured all the back episodes when I started listening last year. It's what kept my commute sane. I donate whenever I can. I'm re-listening to the podcast w/ Goat on a Cow to remember it. Keep it going!

Why does everyone insist on printing the t-shirt on the front. To remind me what I'm wearing? How about printing on the back?

Believe me. Trust me.
If I could afford the T-shirt, I would definitely buy it.
But since I live in a country where trying to buy it would cost more than half of my salary, I just have to imagine myself wearing it and telling my friends the story of the goat on the cow.

A few days ago they sold out of the the black impactist shirt in large, while i was processing my order. Will there be more of these made, or just the "goat on a cow" ones?

The goat on a cow story isn't from Yellow Fluff, it's from this episode:

Sep. 06 2010 06:29 PM

Terrific. Such a huge fan of the show that the word 'fan' doesn't seem adequate. Sibling seems more fitting. I identify, I empathize, and I need. Radiolab reminds me that there are other people in the world who believed what we were told when we were children, that the world was about learning. Now ... how about a baseball cap?

Sep. 05 2010 09:53 PM

The goat on the cow is from the episode "Yellow Fluff and Other Curious Encounters" (or something like that). It's a great listen; it might even be my favorite episode.

Anyway, there's a story about a goat on a cow... So that's that.

Sep. 05 2010 12:37 AM

I don't get it. What's with the goat and cow?

Radiolab is a hip informative show, unlike anything else on the web. It walks that narrow path between style and substance, perfectly. Alas, the new website design falls short of this. Eye candy for sure. But confusing and difficult to use. The opposite of the intuitive, hipster-friendly approach I've come to expect from the show --
