This is Your Brain On Love

Tuesday, August 28, 2007 - 12:28 PM

Radiolab is given the charge to put on a Singles Night. That's right. 'Jad,' they said, 'stand on a stage and make strangers fall in love! Or, at least, you know, exchange a few phone numbers with each other.' So obviously, we turned to science. Jad consults a few experts on the chemistry of a 'brain on love.'

They didn't hear a damn thing. They wouldn't shut the he'll up. These can't be the people that listen to the life changing show.

Love doesn't necessarily have to be the romantic kind of love. Love can be a love for music, or for certain foods. But going back to the romantic kind of love, humans thrive on love. Love is something that some people live for. As the podcast said, love is many sided. Defining love is different for all different people. It all just depends on the person.

Love is the driving force behind humanity. Love is our motivation for everything, whether its a love for money or people. Love is the root source of most of the songs on the radio. Love is (usually) the reason people exist in the first place. Without these chemicals, life just wouldn't be worth living.
